Temple of Apollo Epicurius at Bassae
One of the best preserved monuments of the 5th c. B.C. Also the first Greek entry into the World Heritage List in 1986. The innovative design and construction of the temple, which combines all three architectural styles of antiquity for the first time, is attributed to Iktinos, the great architect who, along with Kallikrates, designed the Parthenon in Athens shortly afterward.
